A familiar city but slightly different look. It has been quite a while since the man named Jayden Thomas Ryder has been in this city since his time as a 'drifter' sort of came to a halt when he got involved in something that grew his ability to protect. The stronger the will, the more he is able to keep an upper hand on what he became over five years ago, The Guyver unit number one, or simply can be shortened to 'The Guyver' or another term, Guyver One. Is that quest he was one to gather answers on the truth of The Guyver really over? Not exactly, just put on hold for now.
Things has changed in five years, one of the biggest is that Jayden is no longer a drifter searching around for money to spend the night at a motel that he can barely afford or when he's lucky, a hotel. He is only here for visiting purposes now and also, a reason very important to him. There was one particular person in this town that was like him, different, but unfortunately for her, she didn't have memory of her past life but managed to somehow keep something with her to remember her own name. And the name she went by...'Crystal'.
"Here goes nothing, just like old times..." He takes a deep breath and begins his journey into the town he is currently in. Questions flowing inside of his head. Would she even remember him since it's been so long? And if she does, what is the update on her memory? Those type of thoughts got him worried for someone he still considers a friend after so long. Could things be on an up-side or more on the down-side? This journey is very much like the one before he realized the truth about it which was the mystery of the Guyver Units. And what is that word? Unknown; only because he doesn't know the condition his friend is in, or if she's still in this very city.
Answers. Crystal was still looking for them. That was the reason she was in the city to begin with. She went from one place to another, following any lead she could get to find the ones responsible for what she is. Especially the one who instigated the whole thing. She still can't remember her past, but now she knows the ones responsible. She wanted to find him, and get back what was taken from her. But it only felt like her goal was only getting farther and farther away from her. It was problematic, but she kept going forward. She just had to if she wanted to get the answers she is seeking.
For now, she just wandered around town, trying to find something to eat. She had just finishing training, keeping her abilities and transformation in check. She didn't want to lose to control over her abilities and transformation, so of course training would help. Of course, that left her hungry afterwards when training for a certain amount of time. She did this every day, just to make sure she didn't lose control, and just so she could get ready and face the one for turning her into a monster.
As Crystal walked around town, she felt a sudden chill go down her spine. She looked around for a bit, but continued walking. But she kept her eyes peeled for anything suspicious. Sudden chill was never a good thing, and she didn't like it one bit. "Something doesn't feel right," she mumbled. "What could it be?"
Crystal heard yelling and turned her head around. She didn't hear anything else after that, so she figured that everything turned out okay, especially since she didn't see people gather around. She smiled softly, and continued on her way. But her smile quickly faded when she heard an ear-piercing screech. She covered her ears and leaned against a pole. She looked around, trying to figure out where the screech was coming from. "What the hell is that?!" she mumbled.
She looked up ahead, and people ran away from cars that were being tossed at them, or being thrown in any direction. "The hell is going on?" she thought. She stopped standing around and started to help pick up people that fell over. "Go on! Get to safety!" she told to those she helped. She heard the same screech as before and looked ahead. She couldn't tell what it was, but it looked familiar to her. It was wielding a scythe, and looked like a Grim Reaper. But she knew it wasn't the real thing. Her left palm started to glow, knowing that she couldn't take it on while in her human form. She had to change into that. "Guess I have no choice then," she said, the glow engulfing her.
When the glow disappeared, she had changed into something completely different. She called this form "Pearlshell." The name came from her form, which looked like shells, and the ability materialize pearls around her, and use it as her offense and defense. Not only that, but when in this form, she can withstand direct attacks from the scythe. The thing made another screech sound and then disappeared into the ground. "What the heck?! Seriously?!" she said. She then looked around, wondering where it disappeared to. She something behind her, and was thrown back when it had charged at her and swung its scythe. "Okay. Minor setback," she said, getting back on her feet. "Time to get serious then." She waved her arm in front of her, and pearls appeared. She then clapped her hands, and the pearls flew toward it. It blocked some of the pearls, while the rest exploded on contact with the monster. It let out another screech before charging at Crystal once more.
A certain scream can reach a great height of sound due to the situation; some human beings can reach it at will but most humans reach it by force. The force being something life threatening and there are multiple screams that is obviously heard across the entire city now. The danger that is taking place is definitely big. Adrenaline kicking into him at this very moment as he quickly sprinted towards the direction where hell was rising.
He knew he was going the correct way because the beating in the back of his neck began to pound faster and harder the closer he got. Enough of this, I'm not getting there fast enough. After those thoughts came, he leaped as far as he could in the air with the force of him sprinting caused him to launch into the air at a great height. "GUYVER!" He yelled while he was airborne and transformed into the bio-boosted armored warrior known as The Guyver.
By the time he landed on the ground, his speed picked up at an incredible amount of speed. Faster than a speeding car as most people would probably see. Now finally reaching a nearby area, his hyper senses kick in, which causes his control-medal to flash as he looked up and saw that a car was tossed on to the roof with people inside of it. A married couple with two kids to be exact. The Guyver leaped on to the roof and ripped all four doors off the car as fast as he could. Getting everyone out of it and returning them safely to the ground.
"Run, as fast as you can and don't stop until you know you are safe!"
The car on top of the roof of the building exploded as well as a big chunk of the roof as well. The family took off running as pieces of the roof began falling. The Guyver goes inside of the nearly destroyed building to check around and see if there is injured people inside, because the building wasn't for a fact abandoned.
Crystal had to do some damage to this monster. Not only that, but she also had to watch out for the people in the area. She couldn't endanger them either, but she also had to take of this thing as well. She needed help. And she could hardly use her other abilities to its full extent while in Pearlshell form. She could use some of her abilities, like the force field, but not to the extent where it could do a full 360 protection for her. She could use it to protect the people, but only for a short amount of time.
She saw a parent and child fall down nearby, and one car got hurtled at them. She ran and stopped in front of them, and held her hands out. A force field appeared, and stopped the car. The force field disappeared a few seconds after stopping the car, and she dropped her hands to the side. She didn't turn around and face them for they just screamed and ran away after she had stopped the car, but were more surprised to her appearance. She was used to it though. It was understandable to get the reaction from her appearance. It was something she had to live with every day.
Crystal saw the scythe come at her again, and jumped out of the way. Using the opening with the scythe out of its hands, she created pearls once more and attached the monster. The pearls exploded again once it made impact with the creature. It let out another screech, and it disappeared into the ground once more.
"Alright...Where are you?" she mumbled, keeping her guard up and waiting for it to make its next move.
While inside of the nearly destroyed building, the bio-boosted armored warrior called 'The Guyver' managed to find people in it. Sadly, not everything was how he wanted it to be. A good number of people were fine and they proceeded to leave the building and ran to safety while others got injured as well. "Damn it!" Jayden, who is The Guyver, said in anger knowing that this isn't the environment that they should be at right now. One by one he carries them out of the building as his control metal flashes once again which causes his speak to pick up yet again but this time at the speed of sound.
He placed all the injured people in an area where they can hide from all the chaos for now, until they can gain the strength to get on their own feet and get further away. The reason for that is because The Guyver can't leave this area just yet. A bunch of cops, firefighters and ambulances arrive in the area. Although they are putting themselves in danger, it is their job, they can handle this for a little while and hopefully long enough for Jayden to find the source of this destruction. He hears another explosion followed by some type of screech noise not too far away. His hyper senses kicked in once the sound was heard and his head quickly turned and he took off while the authorities came into the area.
"We got to get these guys out of here, fast!" One of the paramedics said as they quickly went to care for the injured. Firefighters began to spray down the buildings on fire as more firefighters go inside the buildings to search for more people in need of saving. Some of the cops are in the area to gather answers of what is actually going on. But will they be enough to stop it? Maybe not but it is their job to still go through with the investigations.
Meanwhile, the more screeches and explosions that is heard, the faster the speed picks up within The Guyver. It is unknown if he can reach the speed of light but he can for damn sure reach the speed of sound. Some of the areas he was running through was filled with people running away for dear life, some of them injured but still have their ability to move and get away from any more harm that can be done to them.
Crystal had jumped out of the way when she heard the monster come out from its hiding spot. And she was growing quite annoyed with this fight. It was more like a cat and mouse game instead of actual fighting. She wasn't sure how to take this thing down, and she couldn't let it run free. But who else could help her? She was the only one in town that had supernatural abilities. She remembered one other person, but there was no way that the person could get here anytime soon. For now, she had to try again to use her other abilities while remaining in Pearlshell.
Crystal saw some fire nearby, and decided to try using her element manipulation ability. She ran over to the fire, while also dodging the creature's scythe swing. Once she was next to it, she waved her hands once more and sent the fire at the creature. It let out another screech once the fire made contact with it. With another opening made, she sent another wave of fire at it, followed by a volley of pearls toward it. But, the effects of combining both abilities were taking its toll on her. She could go hours on end with just being in Pearlshell and using just those abilities. But, with a combo of another ability outside Pearlshell while in the form wasn't something she was used to. Hence, that was why she had trouble mastering the ability to use others while in this form.
"Dammit...It can't end like this." Unable to move, she prepared herself when the creature was ready to come at her head on. She was ready to brace herself when it charged at her now. "This is it..." she mumbled.
By the time Jayden reaches the destination, which his senses tell him, he cannot believe what he sees. This is the very same creature that he fought alongside Crystal five years ago. Is this the same exact creature but resurrected? Or is it just a race of them? Either way, this is not good. His eyes were locked on and focused on that very witch-like-grim-reaper creature which looked like it was about to charge at something or someone. Which he didn't get a clear look of yet. But his speed picks back up as he run towards the creature as a high-frequency sword, a blade located on the bio-boosted armors forearm, extends out. He leaps towards the demon, attempting to slash it with his blade.
If that attack was successful, he would land on the ground and turn around to face the demon. "I don't know where you came from or how you even came back. But I will make sure your destruction ends here!" He said, getting ready to attack again; the other blade on his other forearm extends out as well.
The attack Jayden performed on the demonic creature that resembles a witch and the grim reaper turned out to not be on full contact, as the demon was able to block the attack but it turned out that the attack knocked the scythe out of the creature's hand. He was now ready to attack the demon again as he even got into a fight stance after the other blade extended out of his forearms. He began to charge at the demon again when a familiar figure jumped into it and started to rapidly attack the demon.
Crystal saw a glimmer of light come behind the creature. She couldn't see due to the glare, but the form looked familiar to her. Like she had seen it long ago. The creature had stopped when it heard something, and turned around. She couldn't make out what the person had said, but it caught the creature off guard, knocking its scythe out of its grasp. Seeing an opening, she created pearls once more, and had sent them at the creature, landing a direct hit at it.
After landing a direct hit, she had charged at the creature, throwing punch after punch followed by a roundhouse kick. It had let out another screech, and went after its scythe. "Oh no you don't!" Crystal circled around it, and stopped in front of its scythe. She created a wall of pearls, sending the creature back a bit, and letting out another screech. The screech it kept making was starting to get on her nerves. The pearl wall had disappeared, and before she knew it, she was knocked aside by the creature. It had grabbed its scythe, and then it just vanished.
Crystal looked up, and saw it gone. It didn't disappear into the ground. It just vanished. But it wasn't gone. It would show up again, and she could just feel it. She let out a sigh, completely drained from the fight. She then looked over to the one that had appeared out of nowhere and helped her out earlier. She recognized it, and she wasn't sure if she was seeing things or if it was really someone she knew from long ago.
"Jayden?" she whispered. Her hand then glowed, and she reverted back to normal, the glow then fading away. "Is it really you? Or am I just seeing things?"
He stood back and watched the two creatures fight each other, taking notice at the pearls the purple demon was performing.
"Crystal?"
Jayden couldn't believe it as he watched her fight full force against a demon that they may have previously faced before and from the looks of it, she's getting the upper hand. Could it be that Crystal was doing battle against the demonic grim reaper looking creature and that Jayden's arrival to the scene turned out to be a life saver?
Years ago, when they battled with a similar creature, they both had to team together to defeat it. That is something The Guyver remembers very well and the fact that Crystal could have been taking it on by herself is a crazy, yet right move. He now notices the demon knocking Crystal to the side and grabbing his scythe. Jayden now charges towards the demon, but unfortunately the demonic creature vanishes before he could get another shot in.
"Damn it!" He said knowing that the monster was far from defeated and that it might return soon, just not now.
He hears Crystal calling out his name which leads to him turning around to face her and see her return to her human state. The bio-boosted armor now detaches from Jayden's body, which means he's morphing back into his human state as well.
"Yes, it's me..." he said to her, smiling softly at his old friend. “Hey.”
